On the 8th of May, The Prime Minister announced a three-step plan towards COVID-19 recovery by July 2020.
Given the recent reduction in COVID-19 cases and improving rates of community transmission, remaining restrictions on elective procedures will be eased in the Australian Capital Territory.
An immediate return to pre-COVID-19 activity levels will not be possible. While the COVID-19 crisis in the ACT is showing signs of easing, the risk of COVID-19 infection remains a threat. Risk minimisation must remain our primary concern.
Our primary responsibility as elective procedures recommence is to ensure that our patients continue to be protected from potential COVID-19 infection.
Thank you for your patience and understanding at this challenging time, and for all that you do in the interest of caring for each other.
